Seattle!

We had a blast this weekend in Seattle visiting the Adjiblys. McKenzie brought along her friend, Emma (who is moving in a couple of weeks so it was nice to get to spend extra time with her). It's hard to believe that Katie and I have known each other for 22 years now! Katie is such an amazing friend, and she has a wonderful family. Friday night we made smores over the fire pit and spent lots of time catching up with what's been going on with each other's families. Saturday morning the parents went on a 4-mile walk to Starbucks and back while the kids played. Then we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island - it was absolutely beautiful! We played at the park, walked around the little downtown area, and had ice cream. After we got back home, Peter and Patrice worked on a house project because their house is getting painted tomorrow. Katie and I made a big BBQ dinner, and then we played badminton which I haven't played in about 30 years :). They have such a great backyard, so the kids enjoyed riding the jeep, playing basketball, and ladder golf. Cade and Reed adored Conner - he gave them piggy backs so they didn't have to walk so far to the ferry, and Cade enjoyed trying to do skateboard tricks with the fingerboards. We stopped at the Coussens on our way out of town because we just had to see little Mia. She was so adorable, friendly, and talkative. Mike and Fawn were amazed that she gave everyone a hug when we left because she rarely gives hugs :) We can't wait to go back for another visit!
