We had a wonderful couple days away in Cannon Beach for Spring Break. We rented our friends' parents' beach house and let the kids invite friends. There were 9 of us in all! The weather was surprisingly beautiful - we thought it was going to rain almost the whole time we were there, but Sunday and Monday were beautiful. We spent lots of time on the beach. Conner and John dug a super deep hole and had fun throwing shovels in the air to see if they would land upright in the sand. It is funny to see the difference between what the guys and the girls do for fun. We did lots of movie watching, book reading, and eating tons of snacks. We had some fun "Spot It" matches with lots of screaming and card grabbing :). We went to Seaside for a few hours, and the kids had a great time on the bikes that they got to ride through town. The guys played some miniature golf while the girls went on the bumper cars. Peter and I, of course, snuck away each day to our favorite coffee spots and went on walks together. We finished our vacation with lunch at Mo's (Kelsey's favorite lunch spot at the beach) and had a nice drive home. Now we are awaiting our next guest to arrive for the rest of Spring Break.....Spike!
