Sewing Business

Kelsey and her cousin, Sara, have started their own sewing business called "Cousins Needle and Thread." They have their first official customer (Grandma, of course) who has paid them to make 21 bandanas and 2 tablecloths for our upcoming "game day" at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma and Grandpa helped them start their business by buying them lots and lots of fabric (along with the sewing machine that they gave Kelsey for Christmas)! Sara spent the night last weekend so that they could get to work on their order. They were very cute as they worked hard to get quite a bit of sewing done. They have chosen fabric for each of our 21 family members. Kelsey has also made our family some cloth napkins (I still need to pay for them, oops)! The girls have their own e-mail address, a list of contacts, and a price list. Kelsey reminds me of when I was younger and my friend and I ran a childcare "business" in our home. Once again, my parents paid for everything we needed for the business, but I earned all the money!

Homemade Ice Cream

Conner made us delicious vanilla ice cream, using his new ice cream maker. I have never tasted such rich ice cream - definitely a treat only to have once in awhile (heavy whipping cream, whole milk, etc.!). He did such a great job making it and is really becoming confident in the kitchen. He took a fondue class the other day and learned how to make amazing cheese fondue. He made it for an appetizer when we hosted the Duck party the other night, and he got lots of compliments for it!

Family Visit!

Aunt Debbie made a quick trip to Portland, and we were able to have her, Erin, and Katelyn over to watch the Packer game. It was a great game, and we all had fun hanging out together. Kelsey played lots of hallway basketball with Erin and Katelyn - it's the most she's exercised in weeks! After the Packer game we finished watching the Blazers beat the Nets. It was finally a good day for watching some of our favortie teams.

Hallway Basketball

One of Conner's favorite Christmas presents is the basketball hoop he got from Grandma and Grandpa. Every night Peter and Conner play basketball in the hallway. They shoot baskets from the upstairs hallway, past the chandelier, and hopefully into the hoop :) They have been having so much fun together!

Old Pictures

Peter has been scanning all of our old pictures, so we have all been enjoying looking back at how young we all used to be! The kids almost died of embarrassment for me when they saw how glamorous I was in our family picture!
