We had such a wonderful time at Mom and Dad's house on Christmas Eve. We played Boggle, and Mary beat us all (like usual). Dad impressed us with his smarts, as he came up with words like "quoth." We also had so much fun playing a card game with the kids that Jim taught us (I think 11 of us played)! We had a yummy Christmas Eve dinner, and I ate the best pumpkin pie that I've ever tasted. Mom has mastered how to make pie crusts, and Dad made the filling. We ended the night with all of the adults opening a present that they had bought for themselves (Peter and I watched since we forgot to buy our gifts, oops!). It took us three tries to get up the hill from Mom and Dad's neighborhood, and then we safely made it home. Kelsey typed up the note to Santa and made sure that he had chocolate milk and cookies for his visit to our house.
